About This Program
Saint Louis University Family Medicine Residency in St. Louis is a 6-6-6 University program featuring urban underserved medicine in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), inpatient rotations in an award-winning community hospital, and specialty rotations with one-on-one teaching by excellent academic physicians.
Our University program emphasizes scholarship and evidence-based medicine. The complex and diverse Health Center patients make each day different and engaging, with a rich variety of medicine, strong procedural training and robust pediatric experience. A maternity track is available. The Longitudinal Underserved Community Curriculum includes 12 one-day seminars in community health topics and seminars about our culturally diverse community. The residency emphasizes integrated Behavioral Health training, with a $1.9M HRSA-funded Family Medicine Behavioral Health Collaborative Curriculum including workshops in behavioral diagnosis and treatment, including treatment of addictions.
