About This Program
The Department of Neurology provides rigorous education and training for the next generation of neurologists and neurologist leaders. At the center of this program is our four-year categorical Adult Neurology residency program. We select nine adult neurology residents per year, and they work closely with resident colleagues in our six-year combined Neurology-Psychiatry program, five-year Child Neurology program, and six-year Neurodevelopmental Disabilities program. Our faculty are nationally recognized for their outstanding clinical care, teaching, and research in neurosciences. Our trainees serve incredibly diverse patient populations and learn to practice the science and art of neurology in a wide array of clinical settings. The Department holds an R25 research education grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke to support research time for eligible neurology residents pursuing academic neurology careers as clinician-scientists. Fellowship programs are offered in 13 neurological subspecialties. All of our training programs are fully accredited.
