About This Program
Residents in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program are part of The Ohio State University/Mount Carmel Health Integrated Training Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our four-year program offers clinical activities at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Mount Carmel Grove City and Mount Carmel St. Ann’s, with outpatient training, inpatient care of complex patients and a structured didactic curriculum. Ohio State’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology comprises six divisions, offering excellent educational opportunities: general obstetrics and gynecology, maternal fetal medicine, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility. As a tertiary medical center with one of the largest maternal transport services in the country caring for high-risk pregnancies, as well as an oncology service housed within Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center exposes trainees to a wide range of pathologic conditions.
