About This Program

We offer a 5-year Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery Post-Graduate Residency Training Program in Chicago. The University of Illinois at Chicago is the oldest ORL training program in the United States and takes pride in continuing to provide a diverse clinical and education training experience. First year residents complete 6 months of General Surgery core rotations as well as 6 months of Otolaryngology. The remaining 4 years involve rotations at the home institution of UIC where both private and public aid patient experience is afforded. There is VA experience, Cook County Hospital (Stroger Hospital) experience, 6 months of Lurie Children’s Hospital, and a private hospital patient experience at Northshore University. Our faculty represent both General Otolaryngology as well as every subspecialty within our field contributing to the truly diverse training experience at UIC.
