About This Program

The University of Cincinnati Otolaryngology –Head and Neck Surgery residency program is the only otolaryngology training program located in Southwest Ohio. Our residents receive sound clinical training in the depth and breadth of the specialty, with dedicated faculty in each area of specialization. Our residents rotate in diverse clinical environments throughout their training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Veterans Administration Hospital, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, consistently rated among the top Children’s hospitals in the country. Approximately half of our graduates go on to pursue fellowship training and many choose to stay in the Cincinnati area following completion of their residency training. In addition to our complement of four residents per class year, our department offers fellowship-level training in otology/neurotology, head and neck cancer/microvascular reconstruction, and pediatric otolaryngology.
