About This Program

Our program aims to train well-rounded physicians in anatomic and/or clinical pathology for a diversity of practice settings and subspecialties. We emphasize a collaborative and supportive environment, with a focus on team-based care and faculty mentorship. Our primary training site is consistently ranked #1 regionally as well as in the top 15 nationally. It is the busiest hospital in the region (>50,000 surgical specimens annually), with diverse material from all areas of anatomic and clinical pathology. Our trainees benefit from participation in robust interdisciplinary programs in multiple specialties, with diverse opportunities for research, teaching, and quality improvement. Our graduates place in excellent subspecialty fellowships, often choosing one of our numerous and diverse in-house fellowships, and subsequently successfully place in academic or community practices of their choice. We are proud that our trainees go on to be successful diagnosticians as well as leaders in our field.
