About This Program

At Indiana University (IU) Pediatrics, we are dedicated to providing you with exceptional training in pediatrics ranging from health and wellness to the most medically complex cases in an environment of supportive family-centered care. As an IU Pediatric resident, you will enjoy unparalleled exposure to the breadth and depth of pediatric care at Riley Hospital for Children. In addition, we have a strong balance with general and community pediatrics in our IU network to work with a diverse patient population in a variety of settings. We have special tracks in physician-scientist research, global health, and other individualized options. Our graduates are successful leaders in the community, academics, and a wide variety of careers. The medical center campus is located in the heart of the active downtown Indianapolis area - an area accessed by the canal walk, bicycle trails and monorail with nearby affordable housing and world-class city features with a warm Midwest feel.
