About This Program

As the oldest pediatric academic medical center in the country, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center (formerly the Harriet Lane Home for Invalid Children), located in Baltimore, Maryland, has been building leaders in pediatric care for more than 100 years.

The pediatrics residency training program at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is a three-year categorical program, accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education, leading to certification in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Graduates of The Harriet Lane Pediatric Residency Program have gone on to become successful community pediatricians, pediatric hospitalists, subspecialists, academic leaders and more, pursuing excellence in public health, global health, health policy, health administration, and beyond.
