Where You'll Spend Your Time
About This Program
The pediatric training at the University of Missouri will prepare you for whatever it is that you hope to do in your career. Our Mission Statement: To train leaders in pediatric medicine through exemplary education, innovative research, patient-centered care of Missouri's children, and advocacy for the health of all children.
Our residents receive individual mentorship and career guidance from our dedicated faculty. We offer a robust academic half-day didactic program, which includes simulations and interactive board preparation, in addition to class retreats and resident-led wellness outings. We offer an Advocacy Track in addition to our new Health-Informatics Track, allowing for the completion of an M.S. Health Informatics degree during the three years of pediatric training. Our graduates have succeeded in attaining post-graduate positions in primary care, pediatric hospital medicine, and the fellowship match. Your three years spent at MU will be rewarding from both a personal and professional point of view.
