About This Program

The Saint Louis University Pediatric Residency program dedicated to training amazing pediatricians who excel in their fields. The education is based on the Saint Louis University motto, "Higher Purpose, Greater Good." Our curriculum begins with introducing you as a first year resident to almost every pediatric subspecialty through 11 months of required rotations and 1 elective and ends with the third year, when you have six months of self-selected rotations to ensure that you are ready for the next step of your career. You will have opportunities to learn outside the hospital setting as well, through our Global Health rotation and our Community and Advocacy track. Research opportunities abound with many residents presenting at nation meetings (with travel expenses covered). In addition to the excellent curriculum you will find amazing faculty to teach and mentor you. Our residents are well prepared to enter practice as a primary care provider, hospitalist or match into an excellent fellowhship program.
