About This Program

The Harvard Longwood Program in Urology is a 5-year residency offering extensive training at several world-class hospitals. In addition to our primary affiliate Brigham and Women’s Hospital, residents also rotate at Children’s Hospital of Boston, Veterans Administration system and Faulkner Hospital. Residents are exposed to cutting edge techniques in robotic surgery, reconstructive surgery, microscopic surgery and infertility, and pediatric urology. Our residents have an outstanding operative volume, are given autonomy, and have an excellent research track record. Our program combines clinical and didactic teaching from faculty who are leaders in their field. The faculty includes experts in oncology, stones, endourology, infertility, reconstruction, and minimally invasive surgery. Our graduates are selected for highly sought-after fellowships and private practice positions and have taken leadership roles around the country.
