About This Program
Eisenhower Medical Center Family Medicine residency is an independent community hospital program that provides training for full-spectrum family medicine practice. We have academic affiliations with USC, UCSD, Loma Linda, and Western University. Our program’s strengths are the engagement and diversity of our residents and faculty, geriatrics, sports medicine, and integrative medicine. We have strong support from the medical staff at Eisenhower and provide most training on-campus. Our residents rotate at Loma Linda University for inpatient pediatrics, and at 29 Palms and Palomar hospitals for maternity care. We have two continuity clinics where our residents provide care for people from a diverse range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We graduated our first class in 2016. We have recently expanded from 8 residents per year to 12 residents per year and have added several new faculty members. We are excited about the future possibilities for our program. New faculty members have expertise in addiction medicine, HIV medicine, and geriatrics. We will be pursuing osteopathic recognition.
