About This Program
The University of Michigan offers four positions each year in an integrated five-year Pediatrics/Child Neurology program. We also have reserved position this year for an applicant with Pediatrics training.
In addition to the two years of Pediatrics, year of adult neurology, and year of clinical pediatric neurology, rotations include Child Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Neuropathology, EEG, Neurosurgery, and Neuromuscular Disorders. We also offer a broad range of multidisciplinary programs and clinics, including neuro-oncology, sleep, neuromuscular disease, refractory epilepsy, autism, neonatal follow-up, movement disorders, fetal neurology, and neurocutaneous disorders.
Unique features of our program include pediatric neurology continuity clinics during elective months of the PGY2 year (resulting in four years of pediatric neurology continuity clinic) and a month-long Boot Camp between the PGY2 and 3 years.
Steven Leber, the program director, was honored with the Blue Bird Circle Training Award recognizing outstanding performance by a child neurology training director.
