Program Highlights

One of the oldest and largest pediatric residency programs in US (Founded in 1967)

Five-year Categorical Training Program

Six months of adult Neurology training in PGY3 year. Additional outpatient training integrated in PGY3 and 5 years.

Pediatric Neurology training is integrated in all 5 years of inpatient training with graduated responsibilities

Mentorship program, starting at PGY1 year by pediatric neurology faculty in pathways chosen by the residents (clinician, clinician-educators, physician-scientists)

Fellowship training is available in all pediatric neurology sub-specialties

Residents are trained and mentored by 38 pediatric neurology faculty with broad clinical expertise and research skills

The program emphasizes a balanced approach to residency training focusing on gaining clinical skills, research acumen, and career development with resident wellness.
