About This Program
The Child Neurology residency training program at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is an ACGME accredited program established in 1957, making it one of the oldest Child Neurology training programs in the country. Our department is one of the largest in the NY metropolitan area, which affords our trainees a large variety of clinical teachers and professional mentors. Our faculty members specialize in a wide array of neurologic conditions including epilepsy, headache, sleep disorders, neuromuscular disorders, neuro-oncology, neurodevelopmental disabilities and others. During their three-year training, our residents receive in depth clinical training in all areas of inpatient and outpatient pediatric neurology, and are well prepared for careers in hospital based practice, private practice, or further training in subspecialties. In addition, they participate in original scholarly research, weekly didactics and pursue varied electives which supplement and enrich their clinical education.
